4.0 out of 5 stars Shenandoah Valley comes alive The authors made this story, set in the Shenandoah Valley, come alive with their careful descriptions -- especially of the surroundings. I could picture the scenes and live the parts along with the characters. The entire book held my attention and as the story concludes in the final chapters I couldn't put the book down.

The small town setting added a nuance of familiarity. Secrets popped up that surprised me, but they brought understanding about the people in town. The conclusion was logical but not predictable. 4.0 out of 5 stars Cozy clean read. This first book by Mary Larson Fulk (pen name for 3 authors) introduces a series that seems to promise a clean read, high moral standards, no R rated language or scenes. A book you could feel fine recommending to your mother--or your young son or daughter for that matter. The story line is a librarian (two out of three of these authors have worked for libraries) and a new county detective (conveniently single and raising an elementary-aged daughter after the death of his wife), several women making up a “Friends of the Library” committee, and various friends and family members of the same. An elderly and wealthy spinster (and yes they use that term) knows something about the past and is on the verge of revealing it when, whoops, she is poisoned. This sets in motion the action for the book. There’s the whodunit, of course, and a few lines and maybe slightly implausible plot turns that felt a little cliché, but by the end I cared enough about the characters to actually tear up in a scene for which I will not reveal a spoiler, but two key guys find a harmony of sorts.
5.0 out of 5 stars Murder in the Valley! A well thought out mystery that keeps you guessing until the end! Set in the Shenandoah Valley with a multitude of engaging and eccentric characters. Sit back and enjoy this comfy read. I sure did.
5.0 out of 5 stars You'll love it! I would highly recommend this "cozy mystery" to anyone who likes stories with a small town community feel, yet filled with intrigue. The character development and details makes you care about what's going to happen next, and the great details make it easy to visualize. In a combined effort, these three authors did an amazing job when they wrote, "Murder on Rosemary Street", and I am looking forward reading the next book they write! One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Murder Mystery that Keeps you Guessing A wonderful novel for some light reading. The characters are well developed and interesting. It is easy to relate to the characters and to become involved with their back story. The story line is full of mystery, and keeps you guessing all the way toward the end. This wonderful book also highlights some little known historic facts about the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. If you ever lived in a small town you will appreciate the interwoven character development and story line. All and all this is a very fine murder mystery with heroines, handsome cops, and villains galore.
